The frame is constructed of commercial grade 3/4" thick steel plates that are slender and give the bench a sophisticated appeal, but also sturdy enough to support the IPE planks and people with ease. The IPE seat and back are 1.25"x6" thick, are predrilled, and have heat-sealed ends to prevent splitting over time, so they are ready for any commercial environment. The frame is portable but has surface mount tabs welded onto it so the bench can be mounted if your location requires it.
